Terms of Use
By using TradeCQ, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
The game
TradeCQ is a free prediction game about competitive intelligence in sports. You make reads (Rise, Hold, or Fall), lock calls, trade with practice credits on the Trade Desk, and build a record. It is a game of judgment for entertainment and education.
18 and older
You must be 18 years or older to use TradeCQ. By using the site, you confirm that you are.
Virtual credits only — no real money
- TradeCQ uses virtual credits only. Credits have no cash value.
- Credits cannot be bought, sold, transferred, cashed out, or redeemed for anything.
- TradeCQ is not gambling, not a sportsbook, and not a financial service. Nothing on the site is financial, investment, or betting advice.
Demo data and official scores
Athlete scores and market data shown in demo or practice mode are synthetic and illustrative; they are not real assessments of any athlete. Official CQ scores are released only through the published review process and remain unavailable until that process is complete. Figures labeled as targets are goals, not results.
Your record and the blockchain feature
Your game record is stored in your own browser. If you clear your browser data, it is gone, and we cannot restore it. The optional Sepolia feature lets you record a digest (a fingerprint) of a snapshot of your record on Ethereum's Sepolia test network. Sepolia is a test network; recordings there have no monetary value. You are responsible for your own wallet and any transaction you approve.
Acceptable use
Use the site as intended. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misrepresent records as official CQ results, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
CQ, Competitive Quotient, TradeCQ, the site's design, text, and method materials belong to David M. Tetreault or his licensors. You may share your own Proof cards and record; everything else needs permission.
No warranties; limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is," as a free game, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, TradeCQ and David M. Tetreault are not liable for any damages arising from use of the site, including loss of game records stored in your browser.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the current version will always be posted here. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
